Terms and Conditions

Please make sure that you are familiar with Distaff and Loom’s Terms and Conditions before booking.

Payment Terms

Payment can be made on the day (cash or card), or a digital invoice can be raised in advance to be paid by the commencement of services.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Here at Distaff and Loom, we understand that things sometimes happen and that you may have to cancel. Cancellations should be submitted via email no less than 2 hours before commencement of services – cancellations later than this will result in payment in full. Every opportunity will be explored to reschedule your booking to a more suitable date (availability of equipment and time depending). Where rescheduling is not possible, and cancellation the only option you will be billed for a £10 administrative fee.

In the unlikely event that Distaff and Loom have to cancel your booking, you can either reschedule your booking or receive a refund in full.

Refunds

If you have paid in advance, but had to cancel, you will be refunded minus a £10 administrative fee within 48 hours of cancellation. If you have paid in advance and Distaff and Loom cancel your booking you will receive a full refund within 48 hours.

Privacy Policy

We care a great deal about your privacy. Please read our privacy policy here.

Code of Conduct

Distaff and Loom have created a code of conduct to ensure a respectful learning environment.

Health and Safety. Whilst spinning wheels, accessories and drop spindles are not inherently dangerous, participants should exhibit respect towards the equipment. Distaff and Loom will not be liable for participants tripping over equipment, or causing themselves any bodily injury. Starting a new craft can be tiring – Distaff and Loom will remind participants to take regular breaks to prevent muscle and eye strain, but will not be held liable should this occur. Participants should be aware of their own limitations and physical wellbeing – feel free to mention this whilst learning – we can always go on to another aspect of learning or take a break.

Confidentiality. Any confidential information that the participant reveals (such as a medical condition or specific learning requirement) will only be used to provide the most suitable learning experience for that participant. This information will not be stored anywhere, and will be in the strictest of confidence.

Damage. Any damage that the participant inflicts upon any Distaff and Loom equipment intentionally or by accident will be billed appropriately. This may be the price of a new part, or a complete replacement depending on the severity of the damage. All invoices for damages must be paid within 10 days.

Dangerous or Inappropriate Behaviour. Any dangerous or inappropriate behaviour by a participant will result in a termination of service with no refund. Distaff and Loom strive to create the perfect calm and inclusive environment for learning, and as such we will not tolerate any discriminatory language or behaviour that is based on race, age, gender, disability, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
